If all Christians believed that the Bible was entirely allegorical, what would you argue in support of your position?
actually if you read charles darwins books and his comentaries about social eugenics being an axiom of evolution and still believe in evolution then that makes you a nazi (March 9, 2013 at 8:59 pm)Gonzalo697 Wrote: If all Christians believed that the Bible was entirely allegorical, what would you argue in support of your position? So, I see your wireless device got a new IP address. Got anything to say for yourself before I drop the hammer on you again?
Aren't you using "chance" in the exact same way in which you accuse christians of using "god of the gaps"
Didn't think so. Good bye.
:Where do you get your morals from
sorry to say.
but I think he will be back.
Who was that? And why would they go through so much trouble to post one liner nonsense?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. RE: A Small Census

Quote:If people [Christopher Hitchens] have severe, life controlling issues, they should get their issues together before they act as spiritual leaders. Whoa hey. I'm sure he would have to say here that this title you've given him of 'spiritual leader' (considering he don't believe in the spirit, duh), is nonsense. He wrote books refuting the quid pro quo. He didn't go out and take money under the guise that he is superior in any way be sides knowledge, or has a fast track relation with the spiritual stance on heathenism. He made well earned money writing books and speaking out. Big difference from your "spiritual leaders". Oh and his alcohol intake hardly makes a single word that he says, less true. Way to make your "judge not lest you be judged" argument. Oh and nice Scottsman fallacy there, of course you're going to pull out the old "you weren't really a true Christian anyways" card. I'm finding it very difficult not to call you an idiot right now.
