You don't understand DMT then. It's a chemical that your own body produces. It doesn't require "smoking" and there are several studies that you may be interested in.

I see stuff all the time from taking psychedelics. Don't tell me I don't understand DMT. I understand it perfectly well. Drugs are dangerous. The fact that something occurs naturally does not mean that it is harmless. There are plenty of chemicals that occur naturally inside your body that if you injested, they would kill you. I don't think anyone ever said it was harmless or that it couldn't be a bad experience.

Nevertheless, in my experience... people who ingest DMT have probably had some form of mental health issues already as a result of their genetics and environment, so the DMT isn't the thing that fucks them up.

In other words, they have already had more harmful experiences than the norm. They turn to the DMT for psychotherapy. People who live happy lives in a bubble and have never questioned anything won't be on a forum like this discussing like this.

Furthermore, the shaman who will guide ChadWooters on his mid-life Ayahuasca experience will not actually do Ayahuasca. They have achieved their experience through decades of practice.

This is simply an acknowledgement of different levels of concious awareness.

I believe those verses were put in because the church did not want their sheep to be taking mind alternating drugs other than Jesus, least they get the same sort of experiences or even more intense than they get from Jesus. I swear Jesus is probably the worst mind alternating drug you can take, because it impairs a large amount of your thinking

Halos and colors and crap like that. I haven't taken psychedelic drugs since I was 20 (7 years ago). It is real, you have bad effects. I could have fried my brain really badly if I kept going with it. Everyone knows someone who gets into psychedelics and it screws them up.

OH NO halos and colors. I knew that was a possible result of taking psychedelics beforehand, and it did not stop me since I have always seen halos, auras, and spotted shit in my vision (visual snow). Nothing terribly scary until I was prescribed, legally, adderall. Seeing faceless people that aren't really there even when off meds and other drugs is no fun, son.
