So today at work.

The subtext was of good cheer and having fun.

You instead appeared to take it as an affront and tackled it seriously.

In this case, you didn't reciprocate.

You merely preached.

That's what I find irritating.

You've always been the angry atheist on these forums, persistently. The tone is hectoring.

I find it hard to believe you'd ever be fun to work around, because anything superstitious, regardless of being in humor, is something for you to preach against.

Pointless distinction. The theist will always think the rationalist is an asshole... which is exactly what I think of them.

"The subtext" thanks for the update, and no that was not lost on me.

No I am not angry all the time. I do get angry at absurd claims, yes, but why should you not be if someone claims the moon is made of cheese and you know it is not? And with this particular comment I wasn't even angry more like treating it as a "did you think about this" moment.

But actually you are dead wrong, my co workers love working with me. They think I can be a pain in the ass, mostly over being anal during inspection period. But since you do not work there you don't see the amount of jokes they dish out at me. If I hated them that much and hated all religious people that much I would have to live on an Island.

And again, this particular comment to my boss just gave me a pondering look. You are the one overreacting. Again, he took that less seriously than you are right now.

Heh, my wardrobe is almost exclusively green Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I went up to the mountains. The evergreen trees were green. I wore black.

I went to a party the night before. I threatened everyone beforehand and no one pinched me for not wearing green. Someone joked about it and I took off one of my pumps and told him I'd beat him with the heel. He backed off.

The only thing of significance that happened was the influx of distinctly non-Irish people flood into Charlotte wearing green on Saturday afternoon. Our neighbors were extremely loud - to the point that my dog was on the porch growling at them.

Hope you feel better soon. But while you are sick, I'll have one tonight after I get off work in your honor.
