Well they (the writers whoever they may be) did create a revised NT Tried to make it more "user friendly" I reckon. Haha..

Question, where in the bible does it say it was inspired by God?
My recollection was of a badly written narrative that had god as a major character.
Where does it actually say God inspired it or 'it was god wot wrote this'?

"The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it."

Psalms 68:11

That could mean anything.
'Great was the company' were there a lot of them or was it swell to work there?

2 Timothy 3:16,17

16.All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17.That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

This is the answer to your question although I view this text and others like it as nothing more than an attempt at self promotion by the writers themselves.

If I were the editor I would have placed this book the bible in its proper place of mythology and not historical fact.
