If, from this video, you are trying to say that because so many natural things have this 'Golden ratio' that they must have been designed... Then, I see it differently.
If everything came from one point - the big bang, and then from that: planets, life, etc etc - then I can see it would make sense that everything would have this ratio. The ratio that was there in the beginning, created by our observed laws of physics and mathematics.
The Golden ratio doesn't actually prove anything. It's just a number.

1) They weren't trying to prove anything
2) It's easier to write 1.618, just as it's easier to write 3.14 for pi, instead of the seemingly infinite numbers after those
3) They had the intent to deceive
