miraculous quran?
Question to muslims. Would you believe in Islam if you didn't believe the quran was miraculous?

I've noticed a few threads, websites and youtube videos and so on about the miracles within the quran, none of which are very clear to me as miracles.

But I also watched a documentary recently about Afghanistan or some other Islamic country where the army was all muslim but the british army had to teach them how to read and write.

The literacy rate of Muslim majority countries is quite low compared to western and European countries, especially among females.

I guess my point along with my original question is it's strange how a book of miraculous scientific discoveries and a book which promotes equal rights for women has been at the root of the majority religion for countries where education seems to be below that of western countries who had no quran, especially with regards to females, and if muslims believe the quran based on its scientific mathematical and supremely elegant writings how did they manage to arrive at that conclusion if they are not able to read the writings within it or have the education to realize what the miracle is?

Just some of the literacy rates among Islamic countries, some may have improved since these statistics were gathered I don't know.
Afganistan 28.1%

Chad 35%

Somalia 37.8%

Syria 80%

Tunisia 75%

Yeman 65 %

Mauritania 58%

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

RE: miraculous quran?
Actually he can use any country as an example. The reason is because all faithful(believers) are praised for their belief in Islam in Quran. It doesn't have to be justified. If people don't even know how to read, let alone Arabic, how can they make an informed decision about the miraculous nature of Quran? Yet all believers are praised, whether they are justified or not, in their belief in Islam.

It's highly problematic.

Which forces me to wonder, how did fucking "allah" and his groupies blow it so thoroughly?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

and, by the way, Afghanistan is at war BECAUSE of the koran.

Oh ok, I hadn't heard about the rule where I can't take examples from "war countries".

I could have posted a thread topic about when Muslim scientists were leading the world but I decided I would post a topic which was a question aimed at muslims which you failed to answer in your post.

Also if you want to know what a real war country is you should look up the history of the United States of America or England and see how many wars they have been involved with directly or indirectly.

Would you believe in Islam if you didn't believe in the miracles of the quran.

The point I was making by showing the literacy rates of Muslim countries was that a lot of Muslims obviously aren't educated enough to even know about these mathematical or scientific miracles so how did they come to believe in the quran?

I'm not debating the fact that muslim scientists were leading the world at one point but Muslims still have the quran now, you would expect them to still be leading the world of science and equal rights if it is true that the quran promotes these things.

I fail to see how islam can claim the scientists of Persia as their own when the islamist slaughtered all of them and misappropriated the findings.

Islam is only for the illiterate, along with xtianity and judaism in my mind. The abrahamic religions seem to thrive on illiteracy and the total obedience to cocks in frocks and funny hats.

RE: miraculous quran?
There is no such thing as Islamic science. The (1000 year old) technological achievements by middle eastern societies had nothing to do with Islam. There is no algebra in the Qu'ran, no model for the steam engine. Is Calculus credited as a Christian invention? Is the Theory of Relativity called an Agnostic creation? No, of course not. So stop calling achievements done totally independently of the Religion of Islam, Islamic achievements.

RE: miraculous quran?
And when Islam does poke its nose into matters of science, it is wrong. For example, the Quran stating a man's sperm coming from someplace between the rib cage and the back.

"Now let man but think from what he is created! He is created from a drop emitted - Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:" S. 86:5-7

Let's see, I'm a man baby. I'll measure.....sec....be right back....science in action!

Maybe I can get my GF to do the measuring. Hmmmm, this might take longer than expected. Sorry for the delay!

Looks to be about a foot off from the real source of such material. Doesn't Allah know how he made his creatures and how they work?
