Untruths?
And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25 NAB)

And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14 NAB)
I am so pleased! Someone finally noticed that the key to proving Jesus was nuts is simply to pay attention to the absurd reality he believed in. One should not stop with this scripture. There are many just as absurd scattered all through the four gospels and they all confirm the same thing. Jesus' reality was like Alice in Wonderland.

How any Christian can believe anything Jesus has to say in view of his psychotic beliefs is baffling. I simply ask... Is this empiricle reality Jesus described and promised the empiricle reality we live in. Absolutely not! The guy belonged in a psycho ward. Those who can't see the obvious contradiction between Jesus' promised reality and the real world reality are either just as mentally ill or extremely stupid.

For a pamphlet titled "Jesus Doesn't Deliver" that contains many of these absurd scriptures, just open the attached pdf. You can print it out on legal size paper and make good use of it.

Someone once said... The only miracle of Christianity is that anyone could believe that shit!

It demonstrates??

The fact that we can't move mountains with our "faith" demonstrates our faith is weak?

It just means we can't physically do that! Where does it "demonstrate" that that is because our "faith" is weak?!

Yes 'demonstrates' Evie. You're not familiar with metaphor then? [Image: head-against-wall.gif]

RE: Untruths?
The point is that it doesn't "Demonstrate" anything in any shape or form. Because the fact that you have failed to move mountains with your "faith" doesn't mean that your faith is weak. Because what reason is there to believe that if you had enormous faith it would have any effect on moving the mountain?

Whether this is a literal or metaphorical mountain. Whether it's a mountain or any difficult problem in your life for example, etc. Anything to overcome.

... how does it mean your 'faith is "weak"' when it could have absolutely nothing to do with believing on faith?

RE: Untruths?
It isn't the moving of the mountain that Jesus was referring to here... he was referring to having faith in the belief that you COULD by faith.

It is no less stupid than moving an entire mountain, but it does show that one's faith in their convictions is weak. Smile Therefore this is one of the few cases where Jesus really did say what he meant Smile
