I really think it scares the shit out of people that "simple" makes things "possible. For instance - 9/11 truthers are scared to death that it's true that a group of people can just decide to hijack some planes and utterly destroy two big buildings. This was a very simple and very real conspiracy. It didn't require an X-files level web of conspiracy.

To shield themselves from it, they create ridiculously complicated stories to make themselves feel better about the fragility of life and safety. That's all it is.

Do you know a serious website about this ? I you ask that because I only saw that on websites who was made by conspiracy theorists (except this good website in French language [I can found some mistakes on this website] who was made by an atheist who is not a conspiracy theorist).
