The Illuminati
#71
RE: The Illuminati
There have been real conspiracies in the past, but the evidence for workings of the Illuminati is, at best, very sketchy. I remain unconvinced of an effective "shadow world government" or an Illuminati calling the shots.

What I do see, is a lot of incompetence from a lot of governments and just all over chaotic un-directed behavior with no real intended results.

I agree completely. If you want something done well the last place you look is government.

RE: The Illuminati
the illuminati is real, the amount of disinformation sorrounding them borders on hysterical............. they are somewhow, jewish, christian white supremacist, communists, who founded the United states, and want a one world government, while also dividing the world into several different nations in order to pin the against eachother to kill them all off, they also worship satan, practice witchcraft, and hate the jews

some of these things may seem a wee bit contradictory

It seems like Antisemitism is a prerequisite for any cabal.

I agree with Ryantology. That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. The Illuminati I think is the way some people try to personify or "put a face" to corruption. There isn't some all powerful force at work but rather a series of corrupt forces that act independently of one another. People prone to believing in conspiracy theories try to find connections where none exist and thus end up with conjecture. Humans are inherenlty self-interested so corruption is the natural result when you give someone enough power to satiate their desires without concern for ideal. To follow this idea to its logical conclusion, I don't think any such group could exist, because it would consist of a group of seriously toxic individuals who would end up trying to back stab one another into absolute power. Seeing as there is no supreme ruler of the world and how the elements needed to attain such power are too far spread to be concentrated, it seems to be highly improbable.

So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.”

saying the illuminati doesn't exist is like saying the jews don't exist........ they do

but the rumors about them are blown so far out of proportion that most peoples definitions about them are skewed, alot of this ironically comes from the nazis who declared the illuminati "enemies of the state" and wrote alot of propaganda against them saying they were the reason everything in the world is so wrong, and evil.

Erm..no...it's not like that at all. I know Jews exist because well, I'm Jewish, and the existence of Jews is well documented irrespective of that fact.

The Illuminati is a boogeyman much like the devil (or perhaps god), and simply stating "the illuminati exist" doesn't make it true. I evaluate the existence or nonexistence of something based on evidence. I've never seen any credible evidence to substantiate the claim the Illuminati exist, and based on what I said in my last post, I think logically it is highly improbable such a group could exist.

RE: The Illuminati
Not saying there is such a thing as "THE ILLUMINATI", but stuff like this is close, and scary.
