The Illuminati
#11
RE: The Illuminati
Names and records. Correspondence. Emails. Shit like Wikileaks got from the U.S. government. Evidence which cannot be reasonably interpreted as being anything but proof of the Illuminati. There's no convincing everyone, and there will always be a few people who are skeptical beyond rational measure just as there will be people who believe in total nonsense. If it exists, it is run by fallible humans who cannot possibly cover a trail perfectly. The idea of the Illuminati, itself, does not sound inherently implausible, but there's nowhere near enough sufficient evidence for me to consider it as much more than that.

Anyways, it has come to my attention that a few people that I know in real life seriously believe in the Illuminati and their malicious intentions. I learnt the hard way after joking about it too much and then having them tell me that they don't appreciate me "desensatising people about a serious issue". Out of respect for them, I think that's a fair point. What I want to know is what people's opinions are on here:

Arguments/evidence for/against the Illuminati? I personally think there is a group hinding behind the symbol of the all-seeing eye. What their motives are, I wouldn't have a clue. Do you?

I know that the Illuminati is real, although I do not follow morons like David Icke and Alex Jones. I think the Illuminati have massively infiltrated the pop music industry, the mass media and The Vatican, among other things. In terms of their intentions, it seems obvious to me that they are seeking absolute control of the global financial system, the global political system and the mass media/entertainment industry. They're a bunch of wealthy, powerful and sick individuals who are into dark and occult practices, such as Satanic ritual abuse and paedophilia. Jimmy Savile, for example, was probably part of the Illuminati. Read this about the Satanic rituals in which he engaged: HERE, HERE and HERE.

As for evidence, what kind of evidence would you ever accept to be credible enough in order to overcome your skepticism on the subject? You're certainly not going to find peer reviewed academic literature on the subject.

I agree that I wouldn't find credible authorities that speak of the subject. I've gone to websites made by random people and youtube videos by other randoms. What worries me about both is that these people are consistently proving themselves to be uneducated, not about the subject, but actually uneducated: spelling mistakes, bad grammar, poorly structured paragraphs... so it's rather hard to take them seriously and believe they know what's going on when they don't even know how to spell!

As for youtube videos in particular, the first one I ever sat down to watch about the Illuminati initially gave a brief description about who/what they are, and then proceeded to show evidence they exist by showing that McDonald's chips don't decompose for months. Not even kidding, that was the video's entire thrust for showing there's a superpower trying to take over the world. So again, I'm left with nothing but pity for these people who think they are onto something...

Now you know what I wouldn't accept. As for what I would accept... not sure really. Evidence from a friend about an incident of some sort that happened to them?

So you would accept anecdotal evidence. How about anecdotal testimony of people you don't know? Would you need to know and trust the person?

RE: The Illuminati
1) Who says the Illuminati are secret? It seems to me that existing power structures are already in the hands of wealthy, impersonal, and largely unaccountable forces.

2) The All-Seeing Eye is just a really cool symbol.

3) In the U.S. we already live under a post-constitutional government.

4) People who have made a hash of their own lives often look for someone else to blame. Blaming ubiquitous malignant forces for your own lack of success can be easier than taking responsibility for you own failures.

5) My application with them is still pending, so for now they definitely do not exist.

I wonder if illuminati truthers realise they appear to be the best parody of themselves. I mean, jimmy saville apart of the illuminati? The working class paedophile from Leeds that always wore a shell suit and drove an extremely ugly Rolls Royce? My, how incognito. Is Cedric the entertainer apart of this illustrious organisation too? Hiding in plain sight.n

There is a lot of disinformation about The Illuminati. I believe that David Icke and Alex Jones, for example, are actually disinformation agents who are deliberately distorting the truth of the matter.

To me, The Illuminati is a just group of extremely wealthy and powerful individuals who wish to covertly expand their sphere of influence in a number of different areas. I believe that they have massively infiltrated the global political system, the global economic system, the entertainment industry, the mass media and The Vatican.

There exists a multitude of anecdotal testimonies of adults who were the victims of Satanic Ritual Abuse as children. Some of these individuals reported that there is, indeed, a network of extremely wealthy and powerful Illuminati families (above the British Royal Family) who actively engage in extreme behaviours, such as paedophilia and Satanic rituals (including child sacrifice), for example. I think it is exceedingly naive to think that all of this is pure, irrational nonsense, only believed by the overly credulous; there is no smoke without fire.

The mass media revelations about the seemingly innocuous high profile celebrity Jimmy Savile is, I am sure, merely the tip of a gargantuan iceberg.

I think it's naive to admit there's little evidence to say there is an organisation of some description that runs everything then go ahead and believe its true anyway!

I mean, how would it serve their cause having a paedophile running amok in central Yorkshire? What social, political or fiscal gain would that result in? Are you claiming that saville indulged in satanic rituals? What evidence do you have of this wild spurious claim?

If its more 'anecdote', then please don't bother. I've got anecdotal evidence I'm a millionaire, doesn't make it true. You mention this iceberg of information that is waiting to come out on them, but as you've admitted starting on a base of information that consists of basically nothing, then really this is just more making stuff up isn't it?

Why the hell am I even talking about this shit? You know what? Believe whatever you want. I'm guessing that's what you do anyway.

Okay. What kind of evidence would you accept? I very much doubt that there would be anything that would ever convince you that it is real.

I am more than willing to accept that I am incorrect on any type of subject because I possess something called humility. From my perspective, however, I think there is sufficient evidence (in the form of government documents, photographs, videos, media reports, anecdotes, evaluation of world affairs and the mass media et cetera) to conclude that The Illuminati exists in some form or another.

I have been researching this topic for a long time and, like you, I used to dismiss it as irrational nonsense, but I am now convinced that it is real. I suggest that you make the effort to do your own research, just in case you ask me to provide everything for you.
