Yes, but why are we so eager to give them recruitment material?

We are not, but they do make it up as well.

You should watch first episode of HBO Vice.

The General Atomics MQ-1 Predator, a flying robot drone usually used for surveillance and targeted killings in remote areas of Afghanistan, has been switched to its backup Winning Hearts & Minds operating system and is going house-to-house providing emotional support.

Yemen, Honduras, Somalia, Mexico, and Pakistan all are countries that the US has declared war on but because of the use of drones they do not need congressioanl approval

Quote: American history is littered with examples of military intervention and political meddling in the affairs of foreign countries. There was the US-backed overthrow of Iran’s democratically elected leader in 1953; the 1954 coup in Guatemala engineered by the Central Intelligence Agency; US funding of brutal “dirty wars” against leftists throughout Latin America in the 1970s; and much more.

The post-9/11 era is no different, though the methods of warfare have changed. US military intervention in countries like Yemen have destabilized nations and killed innocent civilians in the name of the “war on terror.” The current crop of undeclared wars the US is waging is having a deleterious impact around the world. And there’s also the so-called war on drugs, which the US continues to wage despite devastating consequences on the ground.

You are misinformed. Drone attacks are not targeting innocent civilians (almost all do not occur in populated areas). Most of the innocent civilians killed are from Taliban and AQ suicide bombing.

I do not condon the killing of innocent civilians.

Iran have their own Drones for their population.

FAA regulates all flying aircraft in USA. The FAA has not given permission for USA air space use.

False, common misconception. Drone "signature strike" attacks are carried out regularly without knowing who it is that is being killed. In addition to that, when drone strikes do blatantly kill innocent children, there are no investigations. But the senate did allow a young Yemeni activist to testify at a Senate hearing regarding the impact of drone strikes against the innocent men, women and children of Yemen.

since the link to the orginal article as well as the picture (as well as about 17 other sources that carried this article) have been deleted here is an updated one since i can't edit I will post it here (with a few mirrors)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/feedarticle/10775311

http://new-power.org/2013/05/02/as-us-dr...oes-anger/

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=235&sid=25023609...does-anger

the article clearly states:

Quote:the United States acknowledges its drone program in Yemen, it does not confirm individual strikes or release information on how many have been carried out

Determining civilian deaths is even more difficult. The Long War Journal says it has confirmed 35 civilians and 193 militants killed by American strikes in 2012

We simply don't know how many drone attacks there have been but we do have some estimate of how many civilians have been killed so saying they haven't killed any at all is wrong we know they've killed atleast 35 civilians in 2012 alone and the real numbers are probably much higher

Sorry, man but when even Fucking FOX disagrees with you, you are in deep denial.

Quote:But the escalation has meant more civilians getting caught in the crossfire.

Civilian deaths are breeding resentments on a local level, sometimes undermining U.S. efforts to turn the public against militants. The backlash is still not as large as in Pakistan, where there is heavy pressure on the government to force limits on strikes — but public calls for a halt to strikes are starting to emerge.

You can't sit there and claim that anyone we kill is a terrorist...that's why we killed them!
