Our Amazon Store

Our Amazon Store
Just some quick announcements regarding our new Amazon Store.

The store works by giving us 5% of the sale cost, as long as the item is bought directly through our site. In other words, you must click directly on the item you wish to buy, and proceed through the payment steps. If you see an item you want in our store and then go directly to the Amazon site to buy it, we get nothing!

At the moment, the store only works for UK residents. We are in the process of setting up a store for US members, so please be patient!

We want to have as many items to sell in this store as we can, so if you think of something that isn't listed, please tell us in this thread!

Could you do the same for music? Just a thought.

And would it spoil it if I ordered Christian books through there? Big Grin

Well we wouldn't put any Christian books for sale in the first place Big Grin

Yes, the store is not limited to books. Anything you find on Amazon, we can put in our store.

I sell used books on Amazon in the US
When you are hooked up to the US I'm wondering if it's possible to sell them through he forum so you could profit directly from my sales.

So you need to put certain types of music on there such as Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Sinead O'Conner, Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones, Bad Religion (even that awful Atheist band Wink) ... oh and apparently Barry Manilow!

I'm an anti-protectionist. Just because we could sell it doesn't mean we should be obligated to Big Grin

What books were you thinking about?

RE: Our Amazon Store
Timothy Keller's books aren't too bad, and defend the Christian faith against some of the more common and less thought-out attacks... although like all others: it cannot defend against the better thought-out points.

C. S. Lewis was an interesting read, although like Mr. Keller: not perfect.

Just two Christian authors i might expect to see in a store that cares about showing the best arguments of both sides, and in letting a person choose their own philosophy based on rationality. There is a great deal of logical thought in both C. S. Lewis and Keller, but again: non-conclusive. Smile

I quite like Tim Keller - I thought he was interesting to the non theist. I put a video up here for ppl to comment - they thought pretty much like you Sae.

I wasn't serious Adrian. I don't know of any such book that would be of real interest to non believers. Maybe I should look.

I'm a big fan of Rob Bell. Sex God and Velvet Elvis are awesome books. Great writing style, not preachy but Christian all the same.

RE: Our Amazon Store
Well, the two i cited were certainly interesting to me... but this comes from a girl who finds authors like Robert Lewis Stevenson and Charles Dickens easy to read and exciting. Smile

They are both FANTASTIC authors with AMAZING stories. Sadly, a number of people at school actually have difficulty reading them Confused

But i must wonder: do you guys see those authors in that way? Is this a question for the book club? Smile

Sex God and Velvet Elvis? I don't know what they are about... but I'll look into Rob Bell. (The Reason For God [by Keller] was certainly interesting to me... and I'm a non-believer ^_^)
