Its really affecting me now I have a one year old child who I love more than I ever thought possible to love another person. It makes me genuinely depressed to think I will die and so will he and I will never "see" him again. How do I stop feeling so sad by this?
It is that bad this could be a treatable condition. Don't look at this a a philosophy issue causing this. You really may be having certain brain chemistry issues and stress issues that might be causing these feelings to be magnified.
I'd seek out some psychological professional counseling. No shame in seeking help.
Sometimes it isn't simply that easy to say "All you can do is enjoy now, so focus on that". That may be true but when stress and depression get that deep it literally is a physical condition that words alone may not help.
