Sleepstorming idea: D/S
Based on a dream I had last night. This is the brainstorming result of collating the ideas from said dream. It's something I have up on my wall of ideas for stories to write, and one that shows the most promise of all the ones I've had recently. I love when my creative mind goes on autopilot mode and does the work for me.

A kid in an abusive foster home by the name of Varick is constantly being moved around from foster family to foster family. At the age of 16 he ends up spending a year in Russia, where he meets a Russian girl by the name of Leonteva, a girl who is his same age. They become friends, eventually displaying affection towards one another. Leonteva later confides in Varick her plans to run away from her family, in an attempt to escape from her incestuous, abusive father and her apathetic mother; though she has no long-term plan, a friend of hers is offering to help her escape. Varick tells her he'll find her someday, and that they will find happiness together, Leonteva asks him to promise that. Leonteva disappears, and Varick is left to worry about her. He moves back to the States. At the age of 18 he moves out on his own to Los Angeles. By the age of 23, he has given up hope of ever finding Leonteva, until one day while watching porn he finds a movie with a woman who looks just like her, complete with tattoos he remembered she had talked about wanting to get. He becomes obsessed with finding her, posting to message boards for porn sites, seeking any information he can on her, until he is finally informed that her stage name is Lenoka Vibes and that she is known for slave gangbang scenes in Europe. He searches for more information on her, but can't find any contact information of any kind. Eventually, through more message boards, he is given contact information for her "handlers." He is rebuffed when he inquires as to contacting her directly, and begins to suspect that there is more to Leonteva's situation. He manages to convince the "handlers" that he is trying to rent her. He is told that she costs $5,000 for one day plus travel expenses. He informs the person that he does not have that much money, and asks if he can call later when he does, and is told that the number is a temporary one that will be disconnected the next day and that he'd better hurry if he wants to fuck Lenoka/Leonteva. Now driven to the point of near-madness by his need to see her, Varick robs several stores at gunpoint for the money, before calling the number again and agreeing to the wire transfer. Leonteva arrives three days later, and the two are stunned into silence upon finally seeing each other again. They embrace, and Leonteva breaks down and begins telling Varick everything that has happened. It turns out the friend Leonteva had asked to assist her in running away had turned her over to a human trafficking group, something she doesn't find very surprising, and admits that she should have expected as much given that she had only known him for a few months and he had been 22 at the time anyway. Varick asks why she did it and Leonteva admits that she didn't care at that point, that she wasn't thinking, and that in hindsight she realizes how stupid her decision had been. She then tells him she has been spending the last seven years as a sex slave for a human trafficker, being rented out to clients for escort services and for illegal pornography. She admits that the idea of trying to escape has long since been beaten out of her, and when Varick offers to help her, she is reluctant to try, and in fact seems quite terrified at the prospect, telling him that while it was good to see him again, it should be the last time as well. Varick reminds her of the promise he made to her, and after much urging he finally manages to convince her that he can help her. When Leonteva does not return, the trafficking ring comes after Varick and Leonteva, who turn to the FBI for help, only to find that a corrupt FBI official is protecting the trafficking ring, allowing them to operate within the US's borders with near impunity. Varick and Leonteva go on the run from both the trafficking ring and from the FBI, who are under the illusion that Varick is a kidnapper working for said human trafficking ring. Varick must work to expose both the FBI official and the true culprits of the human trafficking ring while protecting Leonteva and keeping them both alive. During this time, Varick begins to develop a dominant streak that Leonteva fosters with her own submissive nature, and Varick finds himself conflicted, wondering if he is really any better than those he is trying to protect her from.
