Bad Day for Redneck Assholes
http://apnews.excite.com/article/2013061...JQ001.html

Quote: WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states cannot on their own require would-be voters to prove they are U.S. citizens before using a federal registration system designed to make signing up easier.

The justices voted 7-2 to throw out Arizona's voter-approved requirement that prospective voters document their U.S. citizenship in order to use a registration form produced under the federal "Motor Voter" voter registration law.

I've been reading the comments at various news sites carrying this story. The apocalypse is apparently well under way.

Has to be. No other reason can explain why Scalia is suddenly a traitor in the eyes of the faithful.

Ten bucks says the next nationally televised horrific death is blamed on this by Westboro
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

No worries, Min. There's two rulings in the wings with the potential to blow some anti-gay gaskets.

I ain't surprised. I mean, how many time have the courts ruled on this? And how many times have they come back and said "no?" And how many times did the assclowns ignore the court saying no and try to do it anyway?

It's only a matter of time before this goes before the supreme court of the US. The bad news is that the supreme court is controlled by the same party that wants to restrict voting rights. However, Obama is still going to be president for another three and a half years and I'm still hoping Scalia and/or Thomas drop dead before then.

RE: Bad Day for Redneck Assholes
The Supreme Court only struck down the supposed legitimacy of a state to question the legal criteria of Federal legislation. The ruling ultimately has nothing to do with any issues of voting rights.....the ruling actually affecting that is expected late this week or next week at the latest.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
