Strange that skeptics say omnipotence means god can do anything when that suits there purposes, but they then think that an omnipotent god can't make light without a star as a source.

Wouldn't a god who creates the laws of the universe like: sunlight is photosynthesized through plants and most plants grow dependent on sunlight? Wouldn't he use his own creation of rules to start off his creation?

The point isn't whether God could do it or not, of course he could bend the laws of the universe he intended to create while creating the universe.

The point is that the absurdity of it all just reinforces the argument that the Bible was written by ass-backwards goat herders who accumulated pieces of the story together over the centuries and who had limited understanding of the natural world around them.
