I read the FB story and read a few comments. Why is everyone missing the obvioius?

Are Christians really the type of people that pay their bills before feeding their infant? And believers dare question secular morality.

It also proved my point yet again that Christards HAVE NO FUCKING SENSE OF HUMOR. Seriously, if I said things like I did in a skeptic venue, people would laugh and banter back.

But, personally, I think it's a bit of an arrogance to think that atheists hold a monopoly on good sense of humor (or even humility or intelligence, for that matter).

Probably, but it's also true that Christians who are apt to fall for stupid stories like that lack a sense of humor...possibly because they lack the sense of irony required to realize why that story was that stupid and why many of their responses don't even reach that vaunted level.

I don't claim that atheists hold a monopoly on anything and never have. Merely that in my experience from numerous news articles, quotes and personal encounters that the above sentence is more than generally true, and that fundies also lack the ability (whether purposely or because their brains are wired that way) to make appropriate analogies.

IDK all i remember is saying some stuff not thinking many people would speak up. Then on the way to BAM (irony) my phone gets raped by notifications. I look and find you and Ryan tearing into them followed by some other people. I'm like well well well what do we have here then the laughing with waterery eyes began. I needed that.

That whole experience of reading that shit did give me chills. Its spooky how fervent people will get about nothing if gods involved. The story wasn't even REAL! If it was real, depending on the babies age, we'd be commenting on a negligent parent death newsreport :/
