RE: Cars
I got a Nissan Sentra 2012 about two weeks ago. Great on gas! Love it.

This one is looking pretty good!

Here's the same thing in an older year with more mileage.

And I've been searching all night for value vs mileage/year. It seems that it would be foolish to not just go with the 2012...

RE: Cars
Honda Civic, VW Golf/GTI, or Ford Focus.

I wished I bought one of those instead of my current vehicle, but I cannot complain.

RE: Cars
In terms of looks I think it's
1. Prius
2. Sentra
3. Civic

and waaaaaaaaaay in the back,
4. the IQ. Your girlfriend is (shocker I know) wrong.

I've got similar amounts to spend on a car pretty soon. Im going to go toyota (not a prius though, corolla) for the easy & cheap service + the reliability. That or I'll go nuts and get myself a VW, expensive as hell to maintain, but damn the insides are nice. Feels like a car 2x as expensive, just classier, ja know?

RE: Cars
I make enough to afford my current car, but maintenance is expensive for German/European cars. :\

RE: Cars

I need to buy a car as well, but I've only got $10-11K to spend. I totaled my Focus at the end of last year and have been too lazy to go car shopping.

My short list is:
1. Ford Focus
2. Mazda 3
3. VW Golf or Jetta

I prefer four doors (and a wagon would be dreamy!). I've got Ayaan Hirsi Ali's Infidel to read by Wednesday, but maybe I can start looking next week.

RE: Cars
I don't have a car or a driver's license, and when I get my license I will probably inherit my mom's Camry. But I want a Prius! I'm really just a great big hippie.
