A Question of Morality

Anybody who has read the shoutbox for long enough must know by now that I eat chicken Pasta a LOT. In the beginning, I would munch It down quite smugly while showing my appreciation to the FSM in all of His Noodley wisdom. However, it has recently come to my attention that perhaps devouring this Sentimental Food is absolutely immoral. I need your guys' help on this one. Is it immoral for me to munch, crunch and ultimately egest (poo) a plate of Pasta like a plateful of vodoo, or should I show a little more respect for the great Monster In The Sky by refusing to turn my Earthly renditions of Him into faeces?

I've had a look around on google but to no avail. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Well,

I would be more worried about the way that most chickens are raised. The chicken products I buy are usually cage free and organic if I feel like affording them when I am in the market. As to your question of eating pasta... well it IS really just one of the many ways of paying homage to His Noodly visage innit? If you really feel guilty about it, just don a pirate costume and prance about singing Belinda Carlisle songs. You will be defeating global warming, attoning for (what you erroneously believe to be) sins, and causing a slight tremor in the force that will annoy Arcanus.

The welfare of chickens is a lie created by scientists and enviro-marxists. Any evidence supporting the notion of chickens being raised poorly was planted there by the FSM to test our faith in Chicken Pasta.

As for the pasta, thanks for the insight. Perhaps I could dig up a convicing costume and begin rejoicing in my spaghetti treats once again. I may also look into donating my faeces to a farm as fertiliser for the food they'll be using to feed their chickens. The cycle will continue and perhaps I will get to re-eat some molecules from a previous pasta dish.

Perhaps magnify your devotion by trying a range of sauces. (I'm especially fond of Carbonara and Putanesca,and will be happy to give you a simple,authentic and terrific recipe for Bolognaise or indeed many more))

In this country the term;"free range chicken/eggs" is used with gay abandon and not to be trusted. There is a current scandal claiming that most cartons of free range eggs contains at several cage eggs.

I don't care about chickens, or any animals for that matter other than some humans.

When i hear about a guy who beat his dog i experience concern, but not for the dog, for the fact that someone who lives in society is such a weird fuck that needed to beat up a dog.

Animals are bread to eat, if they weren't desired to be eaten they never would have lived anyway, so saying that we're killing the animals is saying we are killing the product we created to satisfy our desire of said product...

People who talk about free range piss me off - i'm not paying more money for a worse tasting bird just so it could die anyway but spend a few more months experiencing what humans have decided would constitute happiness in the life of this bird whom i don't give a fuck about.

I was thrilled to hear that Organic food is no more beneficial nutritionally than chemically treated food, not only because it's an industry full of quack hippies but in general (lived with organic nuts for 2 years) organic food tasted worse than the standard (much cheaper) issue.

I think that we should make massive buildings extending under ground for farming, both animal and vegetable, massive rooms floor after floor deep, the area of a real farm. That way they could properly filter out all of the Methane and C02 emitted by animals (especially cattle, they make up 25% of NZs c02 emission) and cash in on this silly kyoto thing.

I've never thought otherwise. I don't usually eat organic food,except the little I grow myself. That's not through choice but cost and aesthetics.(organic food is often smaller and can look downright unattractive).

I'm aware it may be purely psychological, but I think my own peaches,spuds, tomatoes, corn, spinach, and herbs, etc taste better than store bought.

I have little doubt that organic food is healthier because of what it does NOT contain, especially pesticides,which can be toxic. I am very wary of fresh produce of any kind from third world countries, because I have no idea how such products are produced,treated and stored.

I avoid food with chemical preservatives as much as I can.It is illegal in Australia add preservatives to fresh meat.

Intolerant of me I know,but I have only contempt for vegans and others of that general flavour who try to impose their ideas on others through the use of a nonexistent moral authority. That may be why I have a similar prejudice against such organisations such as Greenpeace and and Amnesty International.
