It is not a doctrin. The definition of a doctrin is a set of rules that is given in order to be part of the institution that gives that rules. Such as the papacy (institution) gives rules (doctrins) for catholics who have to follow those to be recognised by the papacy as catholic.

Not believing in a god or gods is not a doctrin but a requirement to be an atheist because there is no such thing as an atheist institution with a hirachy that gives laws which decide who can and cannot be an atheist.

Labels are not evil things to be despised. In fact, one cannot describe anything without using a label. Even person or human are labels. Embrace the labels, and you will be less angry at the world.

labels are fine its the definitions of them that sometimes bother me, i should have been more clear in that thanks for taking what i said out of context,
