Sometimes we wonder but we mostly don't like western stuff. China is not a centralized state like the US and other countries.

Judging how much of western world's innovations china has adapted over the last 100 years, I would say China like western stuff just fine. It is the concept that China did not manage to invent these stuff but had to be copied from the west that China does not like.


Also, China is far more centralized than the US in almost every way that matters to a modern state.

Judging by the amount of law suits filed against Chinese companies that rip off the products of western companies, I would say that cheaply immitating the superior products that actually have years of R&D that go into them is the staple of a lot of the underground of Chinese Industry.

Well, Judging from the looks of things, you are a bit swollen by to much attention.

In China we are a lot less provocative. Funny thing is that we mostly produce goods on western demand. Even our shoe sizes are not much bigger than a no. 7 so next time you see a shoe bigger than that you can know it was produced due to western demand. We like things smaller.

I read Harris's The Moral Landscape, and it contained interesting points and information. However, Harris thinks he has gotten from 'is' to 'ought', and he hasn't. Science is great for helping us gain what we value. It can even tell us what it would be useful to value if we want to gain a particular good. But it can't tell us what we should want. It can tell us that most of us want to live, and it can tell us how to live longer, it can even explain why most of us want to live...but it can't explain why we SHOULD want to live. When it comes to morality, we still can't find deeper ground for it than 'oughts'. From science we can get 'hows'.
