I would say Adam (AS) was the first human.

Thank you, you just proved my point. It doesn't matter what modern science says, your qur'an is what you resort to because you have made the assumption that it is correct.

RE: The Quran - A Miracle
I havnt made the asumption.

The Quran being the word of Allah can be proven using our logic, reason and rational.

The arguments fall into 4 categories:

1. The inimitability of the Quran

2. Statements of the natural world unknown in 7th century.
About 10-20+ statements unknown in the 7th century only discovered recently.

3. Historical statements unknown in the 7th century.

4. Phophecies in tge Quran that csme true.

Then the following:

1. No internal contradictions

2. No external contradictions with scientific facts.

3. Proof it hasnt been changed over the years.
Allah says in the Qur'an:

"Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided." [Surah 16:125]

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “The most complete in faith are those best in their character, those who are easy to socialise with, and those who get along with others and others get along with them. There is no good in the one who cannot get along with others and others cannot get along with him.” -Tirmidhi

Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Number 6307:
'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: “Truth leads one to Paradise and virtue leads one to Paradise and the person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful, and lie leads to obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell, and the person tells a lie until he is recorded as a liar.”

Look, with every single psychic or mind reader or mystic on the street, they have hits and misses when they make predictions. Your qur'an has hits and misses. It's not mysterious, it's just things that happens when you say a bunch of things that people think are predictions.

It missed, completely, on evolution. And you're siding with the qur'an.

But why are you so unwilling to even budge from the word "expand" when others were asking you about the translation and nitpicking it? You don't want it to mean anything else, it has to mean everything including expand. If the qur'an is sooo miraculous, why not just say, it means whatever it means, but it's correct.

Do I need to bring up the science fictions that accurately predicted modern technology? Should I start living my life by them? Worship the authors?

Prediction happens all the time, some of them are hits, just because no one writes them down all the time doesn't make your qur'an special.

I accept all the meanings of the word musioona.

I agree a few statements would be lucky hits.

But 10-20+ and it never makes an error against accepted facts. Its irrrational to say it was blind luck.

But I respect your viewpoint.
Allah says in the Qur'an:

Just 2 posts ago you admitted the qur'an said there was a first man. That contradicts.

Please don't, if you can tear my argument apart, go ahead.

My statement was against accepted scientific facts. Evolution isnt a "fact".
Allah says in the Qur'an:

Dude, let's be serious here. What is fact or is not fact is not affected by anyone's opinion.

And that's not what you said, you said "accepted". It is accepted. It's made it all the way into the journals into textbooks.

You reject it because it doesn't fit with your qur'an, you're just proving my point again and again. That you don't care what is happening, you stick to the qur'an when it contradicts.

Quote:And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember

According to muslims now this verse doesn't mean "mates" it's actually talking about electrons which come in pairs.

Quote:Indeed, your Lord is Allah , who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne.

Also this verse is no longer correct, muslims have now changed their minds on this one and it now means "periods" instead of "days".

The quran is full of things like this

The quran has been proved wrong in embryology and don't forget the muslims who believed the earth was flat specifically because of the quran and I seem to remember something about the quran talking about sperm coming from between the backbone and chest?

The clearest and simplest way to look at this is just to ask yourself what inventions or scientific theories have been discovered due to the quran?

I'll actually admit I have no idea what the quran says it wasn't written in the language I speak all I know is there's enough inconsistencies within the translations of the quran and excuses made by the people who have personal agendas in making the quran appear to be correct to clearly point to the fact it's probably a man made document written a long time ago in a language you can basically translate and perceive to mean whatever you want.

If two people are reading the same book and one person sees the book as proof that the earth is flat and one that the earth is round, one that suicide bombing is ok and one that islam is a religion of peace then the book isn't very clear is it?

.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
