OhRly?!

Don't tar me with your own brush. I very much embrace a belief fully attainable using human understanding. YOU don't understand it, sure. That makes you ignorant of my belief, that's all.

For one, this is never a question for believers. Please pause and remember this. This isn't a scientific exploration to prove the supernatural. We've covered this absurd idea enough on these forums for there to be really no excuse to keep repeating it. Please desist.

And that, my friend, is all you've got.

Please get in touch when you have a point to make.

Gravitational lensing is most certainly hard evidence for gravity as it demonstrates the curvature of space due to mass. If that isn't hard evidence, I don't know what is.

"Gnostic Theists - Believe in God and have knowledge (or claim to have knowledge) to back it up

Agnostic Theists - Believe in God without any knowledge of God"

These are new to me too. Didn't you state your objection to type 2 theist before? Personally I think your position there is unbiblical/ it doesn't account for God's intervention. I can empathise with you; I think I've said the same before.

"Gnostic Agnostics - Believe God cannot be proven, and have knowledge (or claim to have knowledge) to back it up

Agnostic Agnostics - Just have no idea"

With respect, these two are nonsense! Smile

Gnostic Atheists - DO NOT believe that God exists, and have knowledge (or claim to have knowledge) to back it up

Agnostic Atheists - DO NOT believe that God exists, without any knowledge of God

Fixed those for you Wink

Then why do you say things like this in support of your belief?...

You seem to be implying that you have some. Oh...You were talking about that "Proof" only you have. That kind of proof?

My point, friend, is that while you say you are benign from producing evidence for your claim, because of its intrinsic magical nature, from the other side of your mouth you suggest that you have some. Which is it? If you know you can't show any good reason for a skeptic to think you are doing anything more than talking to yourself when you say you're praying, then what do you hope to accomplish by entering disputes over such things?

If you are exempt from having to display rationality because your belief is admittedly irrational, then why do you attempt to do so?

If it is supernatural, then why are you attempting to paint pictures of its validity using a natural brush?

Give a reason (that doesn't contain a fallacy, please!), or stop pretending to have one.

Then, I will desist. I persist because you do, friend.

it's good that you're interested to find out Tex, but bad that you dismiss the answer before you've heard it.

My belief is entirely rational, and proofs for it are rational.

If we state that our subject is supernatural, with what rational authority do you demand physical proof? That was your logical foundation crumbling away.

Go on...

With the same scent-smelling authority that makes me seek out foul odors from the trunk of my car, the same sound-hearing ability that makes me seek out pleasant music in a park. I am a rational being capable of seeking out knowledge, and anything that can be understood rationally, is subject to logical contingencies. Just as anything that can be smelled is subject to natural contingencies, and anything heard, similarly so. You said it was supernatural, prove your knowledge of the supernatural. Produce your rational proofs.

QED

I conclude that you are an absurdist

You say you have knowledge of the supernatural.

You say you have rational proofs of this supernatural entity, of which you have this knowledge.

I ask you to produce this proof.

I am an absurdist?

Doesn't follow sir.

Are you saying that because you are a rational being, that, itself, is the proof?

Rational=God?
