I think everyone deserves to hear an opposing viewpoint, even if it's been rehashed repeatedly. Saying to hell with it doesn't really do justice to the new questioner, and may even lull them into a false sense of believing they have stumped the panel. (This is actually a quick answer for Frodo.)

Keep in mind no active Jew agrees that Jesus was The Messiah, and I find it hard to believe all Jews misunderstood their own 'record keeping tradition. WTH does this even mean? Jews of the era had a definite idea of what a messiah would do...and Jesus failed the litmus test. Assuming an actual Jesus walked amongst them, he didn't even raise eyebrows.
