The statement still stands.

I think everyone deserves to hear an opposing viewpoint, even if it's been rehashed repeatedly. Saying to hell with it doesn't really do justice to the new questioner, and may even lull them into a false sense of believing they have stumped the panel. (This is actually a quick answer for Frodo.)

There's that smug 'actually' qualifier again.

Source, please?

Keep in mind no active Jew agrees that Jesus was The Messiah, and I find it hard to believe all Jews misunderstood their own 'record keeping tradition. WTH does this even mean? Jews of the era had a definite idea of what a messiah would do...and Jesus failed the litmus test. Assuming an actual Jesus walked amongst them, he didn't even raise eyebrows.

RE: Proof of Christianity
If there really was a Jesus fellow, he probably never even claimed to be the Messiah, but his good ol' buddies Peter, James and John went ahead and interpolated that into the Church's gospels anyway. Yes, interpolated the same way the Virgin Birth story was, the way the "He who is without sin cast the first stone" story was, the way the story about him walking on water was, and the same way his resurrection was. If those events were true, then so is the story of Frodo going to Mt. Doom to drop a piece of gold jewelry into an active volcano.

Don't you guys get bored of regurgitating the same tired old cliches? New faces, same old.

Will stop when religious people stop pretending theirs is the only religion that makes sense.

Never going to happen, dear. Part of the indoctrination process involves telling them over and over that X is the only god.

The fuckers never get over that bit of brainwashing.

Sorry, you guys can only be wrong in a finite number of ways. Now, you're impressive in just how many of those ways you guys encompass, but we atheists like to restrict ourselves to things that actually exist, so we won't fabricate new ways for you to be wrong. Making things up is the domain of the theists.
