I agree with everybody. You atheists are a smart bunch. You all seem to have a firm grasp of reality. I like this place.

Is Hell Really a Bad Place?

Is hell a really bad place?
I guess it depends on what you think of God. If you hate God Heaven will probably be the worst place you can be for eternity.
Hell is apparently where all the practicing homosexuals will be, and if I must continue to exist for an eternity, I want my afterlife to be like one big gay party, so yeah, I'm hopin' to make it to hell.

Well, are Bryan Fischer, Pat Robertson, Bill O' Reilly, the Spanish Inquisition, Ku Klux Klan, and Vatican pedophiles God's prophets? If so, I most definitely hate God, and I think most any other rational person would, too. Who, with any common decency, would send those teratoid screwballs to earth?
Don't forget that the Mormon prophet Joseph Smith has already ascended to Godhood, and he will be at the judgment seat right next to Jeebus. If you want your wives redistributed as concubines of the gods, then heaven is the place for you.

If you act bad, you go to hell. Now, you've lied, you've cheated, you've stolen, you've been a prick your entire life... why would the devil punish you? You're one of his boys! He's gonna fuckin' dig you! That's where all the hookers and drugs are gonna be, you don't think they're gonna make their way into heaven! You don't think god's gonna open the gate and say "Jim! You've been such a good guy. See this big-titted whore with a line of coke on her? Knock yourself out, son!"
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Satan hates everyone, he takes pleasure in treating everyone as badly as God will allow, God will be absent from hell, think Satan want take advantage of his hatred for those there with him.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
From a logical standpoint, it seems Christians act precisely as Satan would. They both glorify in the eventual demise of those who they believe deserve to burn in eternal flames.

How are you certain that your interpretation of the Bible will keep you out of hell? You need to sell all your belongings first, or you may as well try and squeeze through the eye of a needle. Tell me I'm wrong about that. |
