I love how these kind of articles/studies cast the widest net possible.

A lot of these religions/faiths are exclusive yes/no

If I'm a christian what am I supposed to get from this

I get this benefit from my faith (which is the real faith)

All those other religions/faith (which are not real--can't be) are getting this benefit from living a lie/delusion.

Or just maybe its all .................hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I started with a copypaste of my previous post, then there's a couple of replies to some random idiot with an aggressive martyr complex named "Flagellum", who was gracious enough to tell everyone that xtians are so nice and kind that they don't burn unbelievers anymore.

You piqued my interest, so I thought I'd read some of the comments for shits and giggles. I stopped to vomit when I got half-way through the top comment and read this...

Christians did away with slavery while scientists were still declaring the black man to be four fifths of a human being (US constitution ) .

The article was right. Believers are smarter.

It seems to me that there people on here that would deny people the right to faith because they themselves don't have any.
Does anyone find it strange that the more secular our society gets, the more it is filled by great intellects with big ideas that don't work?
judaeo christian values have been the glue which has kept our society on track , Christians did away with slavery while scientists were still declaring the black man to be four fifths of a human being (US constitution ) . The great social reformers of the 19th century were Christians who invested the profits of their businesses in slum clearance and building schools and hospitals .
Compare and contrast with the scientific atheist movement who sit at the back of the room tossing bottles at the stage following such diverse faiths as climate change and the associated church of the hallowed bat shredding windmills , or perhaps the cult of celebrity inclusive of Jordans tits and the big brother house Dawkins is like an ant on a pile of elephant excrement in both his knowledge of the whole world and his shitty outlook towards people with differing views

Obviously, it’s the believers who are smarter. Anyone who thinks otherwise is mentally ill.

And I mean that literally: the evidence today implies that atheism is a form of mental illness. And this is because science is showing that the human mind is hard-wired for faith: we have, as a species, evolved to believe, which is one crucial reason why believers are happier – religious people have all their faculties intact, they are fully functioning humans.

Therefore, being an atheist – lacking the vital faculty of faith – should be seen as an affliction, and a tragic deficiency: something akin to blindness. Which makes Richard Dawkins the intellectual equivalent of an amputee, furiously waving his stumps in the air, boasting that he has no hands.

Apparently, not believing in the magic man watching over your shoulder is crazy.

Perhaps we have just evolved past the need for delusional crutches?

Appearently there would be no advantage to trying to smarter if you are hardwired for idiocy.
