The Turkish minority in Germany use to be a traditional voting block for the center left parties. Currently their voting behavior is starting to change with 40% still voting social democratic (labor) 22% voting green and 20% voting conservative. My explaination for this lies within the rising standards of living and education within the Turkish community and to a certain extent the reasons also lie within the behavior of the political parties.
I considere this good news because in my opinion traditional voting blocks are unhealhy for a democracy.
