Attack or retreat?

RE: Attack or retreat?
Exactly? Smile That could be misinterpreted... Grammar, spelling, and punctuation always! Smile

RE: Attack or retreat?
All I object to is the bullshit over a straight answer. The fluff when you could be specific but hide behind vague nonsense. The supposed jokes that are no more than waffle. It's like you're showboating to yourself and your own ego seemingly unaware that you're actually doing it publicly, and need to communicate. This is existentialism.. a complete contradiction to it's own existence.

What you believe is entirely up to you and I'm glad you're flexible, I certainly am and believe I should be. But then this is an entirely unrelated subject.

RE: Attack or retreat?
I have questions to ask of that... I don't give you a straight answer??? I am not specific, and am hiding behind vague nonsense??? That you don't understand my jokes makes them waffle??? I am absolutely unaware of any need to be an exhibitionist to myself... And if I simply needed to communicate: I have friends with Email.

I do not undetrstand your reference to existentialism here, nor what you mean by a complete contradiction to its existence... please explain? Smile

How is it unrelated? Existentialism and skepticism go hand in hand... as does open-mindedness Smile

Yeah you do lots of obfuscating. Seemingly you don't want to answer some questions. I just with you'd simply say that rather than fluff an answer. Jokes are usually funny at some level. Yours succeed at no level that I am aware of, and I like a laugh. We're all here to communicate, you are apparently not??

That's how I've always understood existentialism.. it entertains the ultimately ridiculous.

Cite example? Blow my mind: cite two? Smile

Did I not specifically state that I will not answer some questions, with the cited reason that the answers would change your mind about many things and also lead to a great deal of unnecessary stress?

I don't post specifically for you, fr0d0. I am writing in a way that I think most people should understand... but if that is too 'complex?' in some way: I can dumb my posts down, remove all of my semi-archaic and unique writing style, and never use metaphor or any other 'advanced?' literary device.

Of course, I don't see why anyone would want me to do that... but perhaps there is a reason?

Indeed, and I entertain everything you say, think about it myself for a bit, and respond with questions to your statements, jokes made on the spot about them (especially if they seem ridiculous), and often refute them because of something I perceive wrong within them. I even agree with you about half the time fr0d0, and I often show my agreement in the form of part of a post, or as a thumbs up Smile

Anyway, if you have a problem with me: that is what the <negative part of the> rep. system is for. If I'm posting over your head, and you dislike that (and it seems many things I say?).... then why not give me a negative rep to tell me so, instead of hearing me repeatedly 'obfuscate?' with my refutations to your statements? Smile

RE: Attack or retreat?
I've asked you about your sig a couple of times. What's your issue with not explaining that? I'm not interested in information you regard personal.

You're disingenuous in your singling out of me as having the broken universal translator. I'm speaking from a general perspective when you're not using gamin metaphor - I'm quite happy with all that, obscure as it might be. What I was talking about was the seemingly pointless statements you seem to make sometimes. I don't want to go into this further as the point has been made. Just don't think I'm being so unreasonable.. I like you a lot, and I appreciate your input. You're pretty damned amazing IMO.

I don't think of you posting over my head, I consider you to be an inferior being that I totally understand the workings of Big Grin If I think you're being an idiot it doesn't help to make some meaningless comment rather than engage in the sport of point scoring or taking the piss.

I'll answer it here then... I thought I'd already explained it though... and considering how weary I am... I may not explain it right Undecided But I'll be sure to clarify after I get some sleep Smile

"In the many choices I make... but once am i a philosopher... a mere twice am i a criminal."-Saerules

Simply, my decisions are sometimes based solely upon one reason... But in general... my reasons for deciding upon a point are a mix of several reason. It is rare that I choose solely out of self-interest... and twice as rare that I choose solely to help out another. These three quotes make up a core third of my entire philosophy Smile To use a metaphor in description: Reality is a bit like a blender.

"With such a vibrant reflection... I can be no single shade."-Saerules

Just like the first one, this one states that I cannot be pure Vice, nor pure Virtue, nor pure anything but myself. Basically I paint a metaphor of the Identity's Equality (which I can explain if you'd like). I also go further, in that I state that my own Identity cannot be simply Vice or Virtue... but is always a mix between a number of traits. I only got 3 hours of sleep last night... so I feel that I might be missing something here Smile Please remind me by telling me what is unclear.

"The Vice and the Virtue are not the only extremes in my life... and never could they live alone within me."-Saerules

I wrote a paper on Vice and Virtue a year ago (in which time I've come to refute one of my points in the paper, and need to rectify it), which I'll post tonight for you if you'd like. It's the paper got me into graduation level writing Smile

The one thing that has changed in this paper for me... is the italicized... for I recognize the fact that neither vices nor virtues can live without the other. Smile More explanations on this upon request.

I'm not trying to single you out, fr0d0... and I don't ever expect that everyone will understand everything I ever say... and I don't even think you are being unreasonable. I just want to know which instances you are referring to.

Glad to hear I don't post over your head Smile But I don't know what you mean by meaningless comment rather than engage in the sport of point scoring or taking a piss...? How do you mean by that? Smile

Well,um well,it's our resident Hobbit ,whom I've had on ignore for ages.

It's not that he can't understand,it's that he refuses to. As with most dogmatic believers,a completed rational thought would destroy his entire reality. He'd probably have to kill himself.
