Others think you are worthy of the recognition, thank them for their thoughtfulness and continue in the help you are giving, in the end it is that help that's most important, not the rewards.

So it went well. They have me a nice gift and I didn't really have to say much which was cool since I hate public speaking. I just said thanks and something about putting in more hours/effort in the future. It did motivate me to do more so I guess it worked. And no I didn't mention god or Jesus Smile
