Perhaps you could provide this rationalization of yours? So far, all I've seen are the semi-coherent ramblings of an apologist; you see, merely claiming that the bible is historically accurate and that god is real... claims mean nothing to me. Anyone can claim anything, and often they do. You're conversing in a place where people require something they can actually consider: why not post your reasoning as to how the bible is historically accurate?

While you're at it, answer me this: does this historical accuracy extend itself to the miracle claims, supernatural workings, or specifically divine events? Or is it limited to the mundane claims? If it's the latter, there's nothing there that obligates us to believe the former too: some true things in a book do not mean every part of the book is true, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Actually, I'm trying to demonstrate to you that just making the claim that something is true, and backing it up with "you can't disprove it," isn't a great way to get things done, because people can make all kinds of unfalsifiable claims, without them being true. I tried to have some fun with it, because, believe it or not, you aren't the brilliant critical thinker you seem to believe you are; not only aren't you the first one to make these ridiculous claims, you also aren't the first one to be laughed off the forum for thinking this stuff is compelling.

If you really want to road test this stuff, why not try it out in the debate area? I offered this challenge to the last person who came up as ridiculously as you have, and she bailed rather than face me.

The bible isn't evidence, kitten. The bible is your claim. Some events in Spiderman comics bear out as historically accurate, but that doesn't make Spiderman real, and I also couldn't use Spiderman comics, wherein the fiction Spiderman is a real person, as evidence that such a character really existed, could I?

Why would I extend a courtesy to god that I wouldn't extend to Spiderman?

Wow alright. So you've called me ignorant multiple times, claimed that I've never set foot in a university and that you're in your 4th year in uni?

I don't usually care divulge my educational background because I'm inclined to think that whatever I actually know or do not know will show through in what I say in my posts. But since you asked, I'm in the best university in the country with good enough grades that my education is completely funded by scholarships. As for your precious bible, I could tear genesis apart but considering your lack of understanding of, well, almost everything, I'm not going to bother, I get paid to teach biology, I don't do it for free, especially to someone as obnoxious as you.

And if you were really a university student, I think you'd know that being in uni isn't something to boast about. Just about everyone gets in. Especially since you sound like you go to the special kind where you get in if you pay enough.

Good luck with your "university".

Oh and for the record, you're one of the dumbest I've seen on this forum as well.

And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human.
