They're kind of important.

Btw, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law... so if you're gonna be a bad boy: better make it fabulous Smile

Oh, Lilly. Quit bein a feisty pirate hooker Wink
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Right. What it doesn't invite you over to do is to spread hate speech and justify your favorite atrocities. These are things you are (and should be) allowed to do, but they also earn you all the scorn and bile you deserve for holding such opinions.

If you don't want us being mean to you, keep your more inhumane opinions to yourself.

Certainty? Well now, that's probably a mistake. I'm not sure you'll be wanting to run with that one, friend.

Rather more exciting to dance with what you know... as the knowledge gives way beneath your feet, and crumbling returns to the void: adjust to the tempo of the universe... or fall a trusting fool!

<snips>

In addition we will publish some examples of flaming / non-flaming to make the purpose of the rule clearer. The point is not that insults and insulting language are prohibited when used multiple times, but more that flaming is an attitude problem. Rather than punish people for loosing their cool once in a while, especially during heated or controversial discussion, the rule allows staff to consider whether the person is using the forum to attack people rather than having meaningful discussions with them.

So in the end, in spite of 9 other fingers being annoyed with him, the right Thumb was right, after all.

Well, I think it's safe to be sure that you are here on this forum. I'd say it still falls below absolute certainty - after all, THIS COULD BE AN ILLUSION O.O

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
