The real question is: what do you do with that eel? 
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

This guy is from a bit to your south.... Portugal.
And we do have eels, in some places... but they're not very famous... and I can't understand what "jellied eels" are.
I've only seen boiled or grilled eels.
