I love the late Carl Sagan to quote. And he just seemed like a genuinely happy guy, in awe of Earth and beyond. I'd love to be him for a month (not dead him, alive him). Hell, I like to imagine buying a couple of house cats, and one of them would be a white khao manee with blue-green heterochromia of the eyes. His name would be Sagan.

Sam Harris is my favorite author in Atheism. I loved Letter to a "Christian Nation".

As far as YouTubers, I've skimmed the surface of many, but lately, I have liked Cristina Rad (ZOMGitsCriss).

I have gone through phases of listening to some more so than others (or reading or whatever). I think it has come down to Hitch, Dawkins, and maybe Ricky Gervais. I periodically listen to the Atheist Experience (and another podcast they do called the Non-Prophets) and used to listen to the Thinking Atheist and the Good Atheist. But those last few seem to really be trying to be famous for being atheists, they are sometimes (not always mind you) a little to attention-whorey. Hitch, Dawkins, and Gervais have all done other things to put them out there, and I have enjoyed the stuff they have produced that is absent of any explicit atheist content.

But if I have to pick someone who self-identifies as an atheist in public, than maybe Tracy Harris from TAE. I appreciate her thoughtful and well-researched approaches to the topics she covers, though I really do enjoy all the hosts and cohosts from TAE.
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.
