How does your brain get the idea that a rock is a rock, instead of a collection of atoms, Iron, Oxygen, Silicon, etc...? And each of those atoms is mainly empty space, so... a rock is mainly empty space.... how does your brain perceive a rock as a solid, united, concise thing?
How do you perceive the uniqueness of an object?

I think some scholars need to go back to school...

Bacteria act in concert, doing intelligent things in response to the environment all the time. There is argument as to whether most bacterial species can properly be called unicellular, since so many of their activities are multicellular in nature.

Therefore, bacteria have souls. QED.

I don't understand how people believe you can be conscious without the very things that make us conscious. A couscous soul in an afterlife is a bizarre and impossible thought.
