Cholera is still a viable problem.
So is bubonic plague.
Neither of these have been "eradicated" they are still there in the environment. Thankfully personal hygiene and sanitation methods have made these very rare indeed

Right now I am confronting a possible connection to a genetic issue from my father that is indicative of Epilepsy and Autism because when he was growing up these issues were not addressed and NOT talked about because that meant that the father was somehow defective.

The same with Polio, Whooping cough, Diptheria, Meningitis, Measles, Rhubella and the common cold (influenza virus)
What is missing is a detailed account from family. Did you know I have the potential to develop kidney cancer? I didn't until my mother presented with the issue.

NO
Diseases did NOT FADE AWAY. They are still there. What "faded away" was the amount of damage these particular diseases did. That and a comprehensive vaccination programme.
