I know it is hard for you to realize that vaccines can be dangerous this is because you have been conditioned to believe what you believe, by people who you believe are qualified and therefore must be doing the right thing. To believe such things is to be hoodwinked, your not seeing the truth because of the white coats standing in the way.

I know there is a lot of info that makes vaccines look good, but there is also a lot of info that goes against your beliefs. As I said, we have to make our own choice, just like religion, there is so many beliefs on both sides. I know you don't believe in a god, but at the same time you worship those who wear the white coat, or the name science, its all the same.

I have my beliefs and I'm sticking to that, well at least until someone can give me absolute truth. You have your beliefs, but your truth comes from the very ones who are pulling the wool over your eye's.

Vaccines have small risks and huge benefits. Those are the facts.

That may be so, but all I can do is take what myself have observed, there is so much out there for and against vaccines. I remember all my friends getting measles and chicken pox, and not one ever had any problems. Anyway it comes down to what we believe is best, there is too much cover up going on with the very people who dish that crap out, and there is so many against it with stupid theories, so again we have to do our own research and come to our own conclusions.

What you do may come do to what you believe is best. You are entitled to your opinion. But you aren't entitled to your own facts. Vaccines do an enormous amount of good and the side affects are either benign (slight fever for a day) or practically non-existent.

I'm sorry you became ill not long after taking a vaccine, but correlation does not equal causation. I'll give you an example from our household. My husband has been having an allergic rash. He suspected our new laundry detergent. So we dotted a little of it on his skin to see if he reacted to it. He didn't, but the next day the rash was all gone and it hasn't come back. So, do you think the laundry detergent cured him? Because that is exactly the kind of one off, unlikely correlation you are drawing between your illness and a vaccine.

I still want her to explain the history of vaccines to me. It seems to me that every time we come across a new vaccine, a previously deadly disease becomes a near non-factor. If vaccines are so bad, wouldn't illnesses get worse, not better, when a new vaccine comes out?

For me this thread isn't about evidence, its more about what I believe is right and my right to believe what I do. To truly find the truth out there is like trying to find the truth about the bible, there is so much distortion on both parties.

Sorry but no. There's not distortion on both sides, only on the side of the anti-vaccers. The pro-vaccers have the overwhelming preponderance of evidence.

Yeah psycho...you can believe what you like, but as soon as you start claiming things as reality (which we other people inhabit) you need some evidence. Like any, at all. Especially if you're recommending people take a specific course of action, like not vaccinating their kids...
