Why is there no mention of dinosaurs in the great book?

Why is there no mention of dinosaurs in the great book?
Quote:Most people who say that the bible is boring, have never even attempted to read it. As for Dinosaurs The Bible does not provide specific answers to this question. According to the Genesis account, animals were created during the fifth and sixth creative periods or ‘days.’ If the Hebrew expression translated “great sea monsters” [Hebrew, tan·ni·nim′] includes dinosaurs, which often inhabited swampy, watery areas, this would mean that dinosaurs were created on the fifth “day.” (Gen. 1:21) We do not know whether they continued to exist until man was created (toward the close of the sixth “day”). At the very latest it seems likely that they must have disappeared off the earth at the time of the flood of Noah’s day. Dinosaurs were reptiles, and some kinds of dinosaurs bear strong resemblance structurally and otherwise to lizards (sauros is, in fact, the Greek word for “lizard”; saura in Leviticus 11:29, LXX). Not all types of dinosaurs were of such gigantic size. Hence, even if they had survived till the Flood, this would not have required taking pairs of the mammoth varieties into the ark. Other smaller members of the particular family or “kind” to which these belonged would have sufficed to fulfill the divine command.—Gen. 6:19, 20; 7:14.

Some of the older translations of the Bible at times use the word “dragons” to translate the Hebrew tan·ni·nim′ (“sea monsters,” NW). (Ps. 74:13; 148:7; Isa. 27:1, Authorized Version) The term “dragon” (Greek, dra′kon) is found in the Christian Greek Scriptures. It has been suggested as possible that, rather than having a purely mythical source, this expression may originally have been applied to enormous creatures such as the dinosaurs, taking on mythical tones only after these mammoth creatures had long disappeared. Interestingly, many of the mythical depictions of the “dragon” strongly resemble certain types within the family of huge reptilian creatures that includes the dinosaur.
That's the answer a theist gave to defend his god.

This is my opinion
Code:
Dinosaurs disappeared 65 million years ago. Modern man has been on the Earth about 100,000 years. Neanderthal was around at approximately the same time as modern man, it's just that they were in Europe, and modern man was in Africa and didn't come to Europe until after the ice age, where they found Neanderthals.

The uneducated people that wrote the bible had no idea about any of this.

I believe those idiots who made all of this shit up never believed anything like dinosaurs walked the earth. They never knew of anything even existing, hence why there is no record of it in the bible. Yeah, there are mentions of these fictional sea monsters, but c'mon... 2,000 years ago? Not much has changed(regarding animals, that is). Also, there's this notion the world was flooded. Why isn't there present-day evidence that remotely supports the idea of mass flood having ever occurred? Because there wasn't one. I'm eager to see how many theists and jesus freaks come to the bible's defense.

P.S:I HAVE read the bible. It's filled with great, entertaining fallacies rolled in dog shit, and sprinkled with piss.

No, no, no. Jesus fucking christ don't you pay attention?

Jesus was always riding the dinosaurs and he kept them away from anyone who was busy inventing this bible shit. That's why they never saw them.

I thought everything was created for men? Didn't god say something to that effect in genesis? What's the point of creating dinosaurs and then killing them when men came about? Anyway, it's a ridiculous thing to argue about when the validity of the bible is not even established.

That's because the dinosaurs never existed and all those fossils were just put in the ground by Satan in order to deceive man. And the evil, God-hating scientists fell for it because they were on a mission to disprove God, so they took a few old bones and invented giant lizards out of them.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

A YEC actually told me this in a real conversation.

I used this explanation once on a web forum, many many years ago. Felt a small shudder when I read it just now.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

That's the best answer I've received so far. Thank you, Based God.

The main purpose of Quran is not provide encyclopedic information about creatures . If it was , we should have volumes of books and millions of pages. It does not talk about a lot of things , if it was include dinasours , this time you would say why does not includes penguins , if it was include penguins then you would say why does not includes baked chicken recipe with mushroom sauce .

Also other creatures have been mentioned in some verses , for example a verse refers "suaba" , it can be traslated as "dragon" . In some verses Allah says "ummah before you" , Ummah means nations or living species . So technically includes "dinasours" .By the way the word "dinasour" has emerged in years 1800s and subsequently passed in Arabic .
