That's terrible advice. There shouldn't be any "sides" to the news. The news should report what is happening; not some political take on what is happening. MSNBC and Fox News both lie about what is really going on. Avoid both in my opinion.

Yes it should be objective, and people should never abuse their power, and we should all be nice to everyone because we're a social species that relies on each other. That's just not how it works a lot of the time.
