Going to make a pair for #1 Grandson Lincoln and a pair for #1 Daughter Lisa-Jade. Should be fun :S

Also learning to bake bread from scratch....

Looks simple enough, got my flour, tins and all. Ready to tackle this next week too!

In the interim..... sooooo close to finishing that bloody tapestry! Minor bits to do yet and will post finished product.

Happy crafting girls! Big Grin

Wow, that looks delicious Kichi! Hungry
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Thank you Kayenneh! Smile *Kichi does happy dance

The texture is that of 'Banana Bread' but .... made with Oat Bran/ Wheat flour (we're geriatrics here). Had the grand-daughter over for the weekend and she ate it without a quibble (fussy 3 year-old eater) so all in all; not bad for a first attempt.

Got cookies going atm, this oven of mine is VERY efficient! :S First batch has 'burned' but the second looks like they might be ok

Will post exploits of Kichi's kitchen soon. Big Grin

The ones far right are from the first batch, centre are the next batch (temperature and timing reduced from recipes) and the raw material at the back.

Might be able to do this with lemon grass. Thinking

I think most grasses will suffice, the only limit is how tall the species is compared to the size of your project.

I've been recently watching vids about Bushcraft, so I also want to try to make my own cordage etc. Big Grin

Ooo, neato, a crafting thread. Smile

I like to dabble in all sorts of stuff, but I'm a major knitter.

Here is throw blanket I'm particularly proud of....took forever!

Here are a few of the scarves I've made (I have soooo many, I don't know what to do with them).

And here are a pair of earrings I made out of a rather horrible Clive Cussler paperback.
