I guess... my being a theist believing in the inherent sanctity of all things natural, I don't personally care for it. I do see why someone would like it, though.

So when you catch a natural dose of meningococcal or golden staph you won't be seeking medical attention for it then?

As to the OP, elve ears is not the weirdest thing I've seen.

But possibly the stupidest was nostril grommets.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

Ahaha XD Of course, we'd need to be sure of its relative safety, first Tongue And... its cost.

Were we 500 years forward from this, tech-wise: I'd strongly consider it.

How about getting your iris MADE a different color? Cool idea, IMO. If I were very very rich, I'd see that it was done to my eyes (if it's not too damaging).

I'm sure colored contacts would be safer and cheaper.

^^ This.

I don't have any issues with body modification, but personally, I would prefer not to have anything done that was too noticeable. People have interests and personalities that can change in just a few years, so if I'm going to get a tattoo or anything of that sort, I'm going to make sure that it can either be easily and cheaply undone, or that it's easy enough to hide if it ends up being something that I would rather not have anymore.

But, hey, to each their own when it comes to this sort of thing. There's nothing wrong with it other than pragmatic issues, so long as everyone is an adult and sober enough to know not to have giant buttocks tattooed on their face.

This kind of reminds me of the whole marriage for life thing. You presumably meet someone when you're young, and some time after schooling and getting a job, you get into a marriage that's supposed to last for the next 60-70 years.

Meh, I'm happy with just my pieced ears. I did pierce my own nose and that was two years of awesome. Seriously, bothered me less than the ears. But whatever people want to do is alright with me, man Bong (smiley face with bong)

But not permanent, and an annoyance to work with.
