Any Vegetarians/Vegans here?

We could simply not kill both. I'm against capital punishment and have always been. A cow will be killed out of necessity for feeding and nothing else. Is the bolt gun less painful? If so, then we can use it.
I think necessity in this case is "necessity." It's an important difference. It was "necessary" to have slaves, to go to war, to keep women in the kitchen, etc. But looking back, we now accept any of things as necessary.

That (slavery) wasn't necessity, it was convenience. Hell, it would be a whole lot more convenient if we didn't have to kill animals.

(why is meat suddenly slavery, war, and sexism?)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Fucked if I know Rhythm!

I am thinking it is a case of "anti-activists" running out of shit to complain about.
Does little for their cause imho. They just look silly.

Eat what works well for your body...these fucking things didn't come with owner's manuals! I guess that is what life and it's purpose is all about ....neh?

Wonderful. If the world runs out of cows, pigs, chickens, and turkeys I will start eating vegans.

It's not. Those are examples of unnecessary things which were called necessary. Meat eating is not necessary-- it is for many enjoyable and convenient, but at least in the developed world, not necessary.

Well using animals for clothes isn't necessary either but it's convenient. I'll confess, I love wearing leather clothes, you can hate me for it if you want, but I don't want to abstain from buying leather. I just love the material.

I don't hate anybody for eating meat or wearing leather. I accept that the use and slaughter of animals is ingrained into almost every culture.

I do have a strong dislike for industrial consumerism and its excesses, and I believe that animals who are brought into existence and made to suffer to serve those excesses have been wronged horribly. Frankly, right now I'd be happy just to see people eat the dietary "requirement" of meat and no more.

Well I'm not an excessive consumer, but buying a good long lasting pair of leather shoes, coat and belt fits my preferences. It's not like all my clothes need to be made by animal skin

It's simply necessary to kill them - please, try to respond to what I stated. What we do with their corpses is an entirely different issue (though obviously it's in the periphery). I don't have a single knockdown sentence that explains all of this (I wish I did) - but I'm always willing to do it.

Could you give me a brief summary of how you think our food (any of it) is produced? What the requirements are and whhere we might get those requirements?

Sure. Some food is grown on trees and plants. Then we pick the vegetables or fruit, and eat them.

Some food consists of animals in nature. We catch or kill them, strip them down, cook the meat, and eat it.
