Hi everyone!
I'm Mike, I'm an atheist, been so forever.
I am an aeronautical engineer by trade, just got out of the Navy where i flew jets for a living.
My family are all staunchly religious, enough so I had to wait until I left for the Naval Academy before I "came out of the atheism closet," as it were.

I have been on several atheist boards before, but I got deployed and they all got shut down or no longer exist. It's been a couple of years... But I love the atheism community, being surrounded by intelligence is a necessity in my life. I need the stimulation, the debates, the camaraderie. Especially moving from southern California to rural Tennessee!

So, I look forward to adding something to this community if you'll have me!
