White Privlige and Ignoring the Problem
|
Yeah, I'm in before my fellow white people pull the "WELL I HAVE A BLACK FRIEND AND I THINK YOU'RE WRONG" or something similar. I am well aware I have privilege when it comes to my skin color and denial is overwhelming among white people. That is all I will say to that at the moment. Now it's popcorn time, this thread should be fun to watch.
WELL I HAVE A BLACK FRIEND AND I THINK YOU'RE WRONG.
My ignore list
"The lord doesn't work in mysterious ways, but in ways that are indistinguishable from his nonexistence." -- George Yorgo Veenhuyzen quoted by John W. Loftus in The End of Christianity (p. 103).
God damn it, Tea it's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.
The most racist people are old people, we need a cull.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
Actually, colorblindness is the solution. Blacks need to stop playing the victim card.

Sum ergo sum
I always find the 'you're playing the victim card' to be quite a cop-out to an actual argument.
'You're playing the vicitm card' is itself a card.
I don't have a problem with people playing the cards they've been dealt. |
