Why not just call yourself an Atheist and say that "The teachings of Jesus Christ are often appropriate for living what is in my opinion a good and moral life".

I see no harm in acknowledging the agreement i have with some of the teachings of Jesus, but i cannot avoid the fact that Jesus, if he lived at all, was an uneducated, illiterate, maniac, hippy Jew with a God complex and severe delusions of grandeur.

So far as I can recall, Jesus didn't say all that much apart from the supernatural stuff. Love your neighbour, don't hit back, be humble ...

Jesus, if he existed at all, wrote nothing of his own. Thus you are dependent on the writings of others and it has been shown that these were edited by the early church to suit its own needs.
