I was thinking that at this age, when Diotima is so young, Socrates hasn't been born yet. (But I wanted her to look both wise and attractive. Also a bit mysterious.) So I gave her a bust of a satyr. Socrates was said to look like one. 

That's Eros on the vase. And Diotima is making the same upward-pointing gesture as Plato in Raphael's fresco in the Vatican. So it's a prequel!

I see the ears now! I didn't see them before and assumed it was Socrates.
