Is anyone into photography? I'm kind of a novice and I still have no idea what all the little buttons are on my camera, but I enjoy taking pictures. Does anyone have any to share, or tips for the beginner photographer?

I used to do it on a completely amateur level, with a disposable camera, when I lived in Pennsylvania from 00-09, but have since dropped it here in San Diego. Not sure why.

However, my mother has passed on an old camera for my trip to St. Maarten on the 21st. I'm sort of curious to give it a go again, but I miss the beauty of the Mid-Atlantic.

We shall see.

Such wonderful photos!
I have a fancy pants Compact System Camera which I have yet to take out and really use. I've always been interested in photography, but I've never really had a proper camera to go around taking photos with. My camera came with free Photoshop Lightroom, which I might use if the old PC I have still works after years of not being used.

Great idea for a thread!

Here is an image of the nearly full Moon I took last night at the Louisville Astronomical Society Observatory. I used the club's 142mm f7.5 Astrophysics refractor, and myHutech modified Canon T1i at 1/500sec.
