I can't claim to have created the flower but isn't it amazing? It's Hippeastrum papilio, common name "Butterfly Amaryllis". I did install the brick tiles in the fence behind the fountain, but only evolution can create something as amazing as this bulb. I just hunt them down and plant them.

What kind of wood do you use? tools? certain woods work better then others?

I've worked with pine and basswood. I prefer basswood a lot. He has less sap, so there are fewer flareups that can make the design wibbly wobbly. I use a fairly standard woodburning pen at the moment. If you'd like to try it, make sure you get one with settings. There are much better tools on the market, but I'm new to it, so don't want to invest overly much yet.

I think I might start using driftwood.
