Some of you may be familiar with Philip Seymour Hoffman. If you're not, he was in Almost Famous, Doubt, Red Dragon, Capote, Synecdoche NY, The Hunger Games: Catching fire, and all of Paul Thomas Anderson's films except There Will Be Blood. As you might have guessed, he's probably one of the best actors in recent years.
As you also might have guessed from the thread title, he just died. He was apparently found dead in his Manhattan apartment with a needle in his arms. And, really, I really think, to quote the line from Death of a Salesman, attention must be paid.
And so, for the time being, in the absence of any halfway-decent tribute montage being prepared, here's some clips of him at his best.
