They could have really just had a blank box for the person to fill in themselves to make it simple.

But it's a pretty interesting list, I've just been looking at the "two spirit" gender and I didn't even know that existed before.

Technically, anyone who is gay, bisexual, transgender, or genderqueer could be described as "two-spirited". It's cool that this is associated with more mystical power in Native American cultures, but that also just emphasizes our "otherness". Shamans, witch doctors, etc. are often isolated from the rest of a tribe.

Two-spirit doesn't really accurately describe transgendered individuals. The Native American tradition of the Beardache, where a man would assume a female role and had the option of taking a husband, was based in the idea that a feminine spirit inhabited a male body, not "two spirits". If Facebook was seeking all-inclusiveness, it's an oversight.

The gendered slur was "bitch" and the thought terminating cliche was the first part.

The quote involved both qualities.

It was left an exercise to the reader to decide which belong to what - an exercise that some readers evidently failed.

That's an exercise in semantic gymnastics. I also use "cunt" and "ravenous slampig" to describe men and women interchangeably. Allow me to demonstrate:

"Go cunt off in some other thread, you ravenous slampig."

This can't possibly be offensive, because it's gender-neutral.

Same here. And I'm sure I don't have an idea how the shitstorm between Futilewinds and Alice got started.

I suppose I should try to bring myself to reading the argument before I comment in on it, but it kinda started with accusations of cisgender privilege towards someone who, technically speaking, doesn't have cisgender privilege. Plus, more often than not, when I'm on the internet and someone starts things complaining about privilege, they usually wind up saying things that are annoying, bitchy, immature and stupid. So my brain has kinda trained myself to just up and stop there.
