I already made a topic on this. Nazis are on the verge of taking Ukraine.
I kind of thought it best to keep the propaganda and the current events in separate rooms.
Yeah, it is crazy out there!
I am guessing the main reason is to stamp out Russia's influence in the region. The slip of Georgia is similar in this situation.

Shit. It was only a matter of time seeing as the Ukraine was already riled up, especially Kiev. But goddamn, no foresight can prepare one for that footage. I can only imagine the people there right now. Just awful.
This is all happening because Yanukovych decided not to sign a trade deal with the EU?

Yanukovich has so screwed the pooch I'm not even certain there's a pooch left.
Western Ukranians don't want increased Russian ties - and why should they? The Russian economy is moribund, the wealth mostly in the hands of oligarchs and the culture increasingly repressive. Between the choices of Europe and the one choice of Russia, Euromaidens have the right idea. Slave to the Patriarchy no more

The protests hit a flash point when anti-protest laws with disproportionate (ie murder had a lesser sentence) jail time were enacted. Although the government backed down and voted to retract those laws, Yanukovich became suddenly ill and refused to sign the legislation, effectively keeping the inflammatory laws in place. Further reports of judicial malfeasance where pro-government supporters were overwhelmingly let off with lesser punishments while anti-government protestors continued to be tried to the fullest extant of the law made it even worse. Finally, the attempted murder and crucification of a well known protestor amplified an already explosive situation. This is now a battle between pro-Russia and anti-Russia ideologies. Blood has been spilled - now we're seeing the steps towards Civil War. Slave to the Patriarchy no more
We all know who is behind this; Germany & Merkel!
